Khoja Obi Garm sanatorium was founded in 1934. The sanatorium is located 50 km north of Dushanbe in the central part of the southern slope of the Gissar ridge, at an altitude of 1940-1960 meters. Initially, the sanatorium housed tents in which guests lived and underwent various health procedures. Later, several residential buildings were built.
During the Great Patriotic War, the Khoja Obi Garm sanatorium ceased its activities and was used as a warehouse for agricultural food.
At the end of the Great Patriotic War in 1946, the sanatorium again opened its doors to guests and until 1968 it operated seasonally, and then year-round.
In 1972, by decision of the trade unions of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the design of the chief architect Erzovetsky G. and under the leadership of the chief engineer Rzhevkin V., the construction of additional buildings of the sanatorium began. In 1982, the first dormitory “A”, consisting of 8 floors, was put into operation, in 1984 – dormitory “B”, in 1985 dormitory “G”, in 1986 the kitchen and cultural hall building were put into operation, and in 1988 year – the last dormitory of complex “B”.
During the Civil War, the buildings were badly damaged and the sanatorium was on the verge of closure.
In 2010, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan decided to restore the activities of the Khoja Obi Garm sanatorium.
In 2011, with the support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the respected Emomali Rahmon, a major renovation of the Khoja Obi Garm sanatorium began. For almost 90 years of operation, the sanatorium received the title of landmark of the Republic of Tajikistan.

A minibus transfer is organized from Dushanbe to the Khoja Obi Garm sanatorium. You must contact the driver in advance and reserve a seat.
Rooms for accommodation
Comfortable rooms, equipped with everything necessary for guests to stay and relax, are divided into several categories – Standard, Luxury, Apartments and VIP. All rooms have a TV and electric kettle. All guests are provided with bathrobes and slippers.
