Arbob Cultural Palace in Bobojon Gafurov district

The Arbob Cultural Palace was built in 1957 at the initiative of Saidkhoja Urunkhojaev. The Arbob Cultural Palace is a replica of Peter the Great’s Peterhof Palace in Leningrad. The Palace was included in the list of historical monuments as monuments of state importance in 2012 by the Order of the Chairman of the district №485 of December 31, 2012 “On approval of the action plan for the implementation of the State Program for Preservation of Heritage, History and Culture for 2012-2020”.

The Arbob Cultural Palace is located in Unji Jamoat, Bobojon Gafurov District, Sughd Region.

The Arbob Cultural Palace was built on the initiative of the Honored Civil Servant, two-time Hero of Socialist Labor of the Soviet Union – Saidkhoja Urunkhojaev. It was in this Palace in 1992 that a historical session for the people of Tajikistan – the XVI Session of the Supreme Council was held, where Emomali Rahmon was elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan. The palace is currently considered a historical site and a tourist attraction for residents and foreign guests of the country and other regions.
