Moving around the country
The Dushanbe bus station is an important transport hub of the capital. It was built on the site of the old Central Bus Station, which was the largest passenger terminal in the former USSR. The construction of the new building began in 2011 under the leadership of Holding Kontgroup Tajikistan JSC and lasted three years. In March 2013, the official grand opening of the new bus station in Dushanbe took place.
From the Dushanbe bus station, passengers can leave for any part of the republic. For this, 20 buses were purchased from Germany, which meet the most modern requirements. In addition, 45 experienced drivers were selected, who were trained by Turkish specialists.
The building of the renovated bus station is equipped with everything necessary for the comfort of passengers. On the ground floor of the complex there are ticket offices, a waiting room, a food area with a cafe, a bar and a dining room, a mother and child room, a medical service point, a beauty salon, and toilets. On the second floor there are ticket offices, children’s slot machines, as well as offices and shopping pavilions and an Internet center. The square in front of the station was also reconstructed – a playground, a fountain were built and a park was created.
You can find out the detailed schedule of flights for the next dates by calling the information service of the bus station by phone: 992 (37) 236-66-13, 992 (37) 236-69-14.
