Moving around Dushanbe
One main street and a few intersecting streets are the heart of Dushanbe, its center. If you want to walk through it, it won’t take long. If you are tired and have to wander around the city a lot, you can take a taxi.
Basically, all the local cab drivers are gonna ask for directions, not an address. It could be the Opera House or the Rudaki Monument. You know, most streets in this town just don’t have names. To help you find your way around, remember a prominent landmark so that you can easily find your way back to your hotel or your favorite cafe.
In addition to taxis, there is a standard set of ground transportation for a large city (buses, trolleybuses, route taxis), which regularly travels along its routes, usually without delay.
