The mountaineering tourist base “Artuch” is located at an altitude of 2200 m in the valley of the Artuch River. The camp was opened in 1971 and was the venue for various mountaineering camps and events. Currently, the base operates every year from May to October. Several cottage and block houses have been built on the territory. There is a dining room, a swimming pool, and a shower. There is 24-hour electricity and mobile communications. The camp has its own transport and provides transportation services for tourists and climbers, and helps with registration in the Republic of Tajikistan. Many foreign tourists use the services of the Artuch base.
ATB “Artuch”, located in the heart of the Fan Mountains at an altitude of 2200 m, has an area of 15 hectares, covered with alpine meadows and from where the spring river “Chil Chashma” originates.
20 minutes from Artuch there is a wonderful natural climbing wall where climbers of all age groups can train. An ideal opportunity for sports improvement in comfortable conditions. A sufficient amount of equipment for mass athletes is stored in warehouses. The base is ready to accept everyone from family groups to top-level athletes of the Republic of Tajikistan, the CIS and other countries.
At the moment, ATB “Artuch” has:
- its own transport (two URAL “shift vehicles” for 25 people and for 22 people, UAZ – for 7 people. UAZ – for 11 people. Jeep – for 4 people) which are always ready to meet and serve you;
- cottages with double rooms for 24 people;
- block houses with 4 and 6 bed rooms for 250 people;
- first aid station;
- sauna – swimming pool – shower;
- first-class dining room, banquet hall, beer bar;
- 24-hour store – minimarket where you can stock up on food products;
- rental equipment warehouse, warehouse for rescuers.
Mobile cellular communications of the Tajik operator INDIGO-SOMONCOM operate on the territory of Artuch. If roaming is available, any Russian operator is supported by this network. Tested on MTS.
Tourist routes run to lakes Iskanderkul, Kulikalonsky, Alaudinsky, Allo, Marguzonsky. You can drive to the base from Khujand, from Dushanbe (via Anzob pass) or Samarkand (Uzbekistan), crossing the border near Penjikent.
