To present the tourism potential of Tajikistan, in particular the Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region, Committee for Tourism Development is planning to conduct a scientific and practical conference on “Development of tourism industry in Tajikistan: achievements and challenges (BMAO experience study)” on July 20, 2023 in Khorog, Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region.

The conference will cover the following issues:

• advantages of the tourism industry in Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region;
• healing waters as a factor of tourism development in Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region;
• strengthening of human resources, staffing and productive employment in the field of tourism in Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region;
• historical and cultural sites representing Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region in the international arena;
• ways of infrastructure development of Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region;
• development of mountaineering and hunting tourism in Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region;
• the role of civil society institutions in the development of tourism in Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region;
• ways to improve the quality of services in Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region.

Working language: Tajik, Russian and English.

Reports and articles are accepted in printed and electronic form of 8 pages. The text of the report should be submitted in the text editor Times New Roman font Times New Roman TJ 14 with 1.5 spacing. For the high-level conference and timely preparation of the conference program, please kindly send the name of the speaker and title of the report to the organizing committee by June 10, 2023.
