Last year, the country’s sights and tourist routes were able to attract a little less than a million

tourists.

DUSHANBE, February 10, 2023 – Sputnik. Within two years, Tajikistan expects to increase

the number of travelers by 500,000 per a year.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development, Kamoliddin

Muminzod at a press conference.

According to him, a number of programs are being implemented in this regard, including

construction of appropriate infrastructure and development of new types of tourism, including

agro-tourism, as well as expansion of routes.

Moreover, a number of activities are being done focused on promotion. The Committee expects

to develop special commercials to attract new tourists.

The Pamir Highway is ready to host tourists from all over the world.

At present, negotiations are underway with a number of TV and radio corporations to shoot 57-

second and 4-minute documentary films about the attractions and must-see sites of the country.

It was noted that a little less than a million tourists visited Tajikistan during the year.
